Against the backdrop of the mighty Himalayas lies this tranquil valley called Kathmandu: the mystic destination in Nepal where many travelers flock in search of the ultimate adventure. This city is a thriving hub for all kinds of tourists. From adventure tourism to cultural tourism, Kathmandu has a lot to offer. Kathmandu is particularly famous for its religious monuments. Various temples, monasteries, and stupas adorn the city' s landscape, particularly the Pashupatinath Temple and the Changu Narayan which are famous for their stunning, intricate religious artworks. Cultural tours are among the list of top things to do in the city. One can take cultural tours to the various heritage sites such as the Kathmandu Hanuman Dhoka, Patan, Bhaktapur and the Buddhist stupas such as the Boudhanath and the Swayambhunath. While in the city, one can visit the many museums like the Natural Art History Museum, the Taragoan Museum, the National Art Gallery, the Kaiser Library, the Nepali Art Council Gallery and many more. Kathmandu also has a Jazz festival known as Jazzmandu during October/November. Do check it out if the festival is on, while on a visit to the city. After your arrival in Kathmandu, head to the hotel. Relax for a while and then proceed to visit the Pashupatinath Temple, the most famous Hindu pilgrim place in Nepal and then Boudhanath, a Buddhist pilgrimage site. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After checking out from the hotel, drive to Pokhara. En route you have the option to try river rafting in the Trishuli River or enjoy cable car ride to the Manakamana Temple at your own cost. On your arrival in Pokhara, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you can take a stroll along or go boating on the Fewa Lake (at your own cost). Retire for the night at your hotel in Pokhara.
Today, you will set out for an early morning excursion to Sarangkot. You can also try out paragliding here. You can get spectacular views of the Annapoorna ranges from Sarangkot. Next, you will visit the Bindabasini Temple. Since the temple is close to the bazaar, you can combine a visit to the two. You will then proceed to the Devi's Falls and the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave which is close by. Note: Photography is strictly prohibited inside the cave. The afternoon is free for you to spend as you like. You can take up adventurous activities at your own cost. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Check out from the hotel and drive back to Kathmandu. On your arrival to Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. The evening is free for you to explore local markets (at your own cost). Have a pleasant overnight stay in Kathmandu.
This morning, you will set out for a visit to Patan, which is also known as Lalitpur. You can shop for fine Tibetan carpets, which this place is famous for. You will then head to Swayambhunath, an ancient and sacred Buddhist temple. After an exciting day of sightseeing, check-out from the hotel and transfer to the Kathmandu airport. The tour ends here.
